Most of our patients want to
get rid of their glasses and contact lenses and in the
vast majority of cases this is what we achieve.
Most people have heard of 20/20 vision.
If a patient has 20/20 vision this is termed optimum
vision and means that the patient can read the second
line up from the bottom of the optometrist's eye chart.
In Britain this is termed as 6/6 vision.
Most clinics in the UK monitor the %
of patients achieving a level of vision of 6/12 or better.
This is the ability to read the fourth line from the
bottom of the chart on the traditional eye chart.
